Amplify mashes up Wordpress, the Clipmarks.com clipping tool, and social services (Twitter, Facebook, and Delicious) to create an intuitive and quick way to save and share rich web content. After installing the Firefox extension, you can grab bite-sized chunks (up to 1000 characters) from any web page, post the clipping to your own Amplify site, and broadcast your clip to your followers and contacts on Twitter and Facebook. Feedscrub — filter your feeds

Amplifyd from www.feedscrub.com
Feedscrub logo

Keep your feeds squeaky clean!

  • Feedscrub acts as a spam filter for your RSS feeds
  • Teach it what you like and don’t like
  • Protect yourself from information overload!

How does it work?

Feedscrub filters your feed based on your preferences

Feedscrub filters your feeds based on your preferences. Subscribe to all your favorite feeds, then tell Feedscrub which posts you do and don’t like. Feedscrub will learn your preferences and begin filtering out posts that don’t interest you.

Our filter is very similar to email spam filters, so it learns what you like based on the words in each post. If you don’t like a post, simply “scrub” it. The more posts you “scrub” and “save”, the smarter your filter will get.

Is your feed getting overloaded?

A “trainable” filter for your RSS feeds. Free account does not allow import of OPML files, so its usefulness is a little limited. FeedHub does something similar.

Useful Google Bookmarklets

2. Translate a web page into English: Translate. This also works for text selections, but you have to choose the destination language. Other translation bookmarklets are available here.
3. Bookmark a page: Bookmark. If you don’t want to install Google Toolbar, this a very good way to bookmark the current page at Google Bookmarks.
4. Add an event to Google Calendar: Add event. You can select some text from a web page or enter the description of an event after you click on the bookmarklet.
5. Map this. Select an address from a web page and instantly get the map.
8. Blog links shows all the blogs that link to the current page. Web links is the same bookmarklet adapted for links from the entire web.
10. Highlight the words from your Google query in the search results: <a href=”javascript:var gtc = ‘#000000′; var glc = new Array(’#ffff66′,’#a0ffff’,'#99ff99′,’#ff9999′,’#ff66ff’); function init_google(){ var pat = /google\./i; if (pat.exec(document.referrer) != null){ var u_p = document.referrer.split(’?'); if (u_p[1]){ var u_a = u_p[1].split(’&’); for(var i=0; i<u_a.length; i++){ var kv = u_a[i].split(’='); if (kv[0] == ‘q’){ g_g(d_u(kv[1])); return; } } } } } function d_u(url){ return unescape(url.replace(/\+/g,’ ‘)); } function g_g(te){ te = te.replace(/\”/g,”"); var t_s = te.split(’ ‘); var c = 0; for(var i=0; i<t_s.length; i++){ h_g(t_s[i], document.body,glc[c]); c = (c == glc.length-1)?0:c+1; } } function h_g(te, container, color){ var t_l = te.toLowerCase(); for(var i=0; iHighlight.

I’ve been hoping to find a replacement for BigCite, a nicely designed social quotation site that vanished some time ago. This might be it. Collect, share, tag, and save quotations. Fully Web 2.0-compliant with widgets and all that.

This page allows you to submit a URL or file whose links will be archived using WebCite. After entering the information here, you will be given the oppourtunity to determine which links on the page you would like to have archived.

As part of the archiving process, an e-mail will be sent to the address below, giving a list of URLs that can be used to access the archived content.

URL to comb for links:

File to upload to comb for links: (Currently limited to HTML-esque formats only)

Work with authenticated RSS feeds more easily

Amplifyd from freemyfeed.com

Free your feed from authentication or invalid SSL certificates for use in the feed reader of your choice.

Have you ever wanted to view an RSS feed in a web base feed reader such as Google Reader or Bloglines, but could not because the feed required user authentication or used an invalid SSL certificate?

Well this site aims to be your solution. Using the form above, enter in the feed url, your username and password and then submit. You will be taken to a new page with an alternate URL for your use.

Usernames, passwords, feed URLs and feeds are never stored on the server. Usernames, passwords and feed URLs are only parsed from the alternate URL to retrieve your RSS feed on the fly from the original source and then are discarded.

See more at freemyfeed.com

If you trust FreeMyFeed with a username and password, you can get a hashed URL for your private feed that doesn’t require authentication.

Paste Twitter quotes into your blog

Audiotools: music toolkit in your browser

Amplifyd from drawlogic.com

Andre Michelle Brings It with Audiotools and Re-Makes Rebirth Alive and Better with AS3 Flash and Java

If you ever were a fan of Rebirth and Rebirth 2, this was a music kit that had two 303s, a 909 and an 808 kick drum (beastie says mmmmmm-m-m drop!).  Well Andre Michelle has re-ignited that awesomeness and upped it with the Audio Tools from hobnox!.

This not only has the famed 808, 909 and 303 (conveniently covered with stickers of love) but also sorts of channel mixers, pedals and sweet interface that mimics the inputs and outputs as well as customization on nearly every aspect of the audio creation with these tools. Use your mouse to move things around, connect ins and outs and move the whole setup around.

This looks way cool. When I have some real time to kill, I’m going to fool around with it.
